The summer issue of Vermont Quarterly, the University of Vermont’s alumni magazine, spotlights ten alumni who made their way to New York City post graduation.
Of Emma, editor Thomas Weaver writes, “Grady’s interest in fashion traces back to childhood watching old Hollywood movies with her father. She was deeply drawn to the classic styles. Her passions connected when Grady convinced her editor to assign her coverage of New York’s Fashion Week from an eco-conscious angle.”

Emma Grady teamed up with the Ethical Writers Coalition and the underground dance party house, Beef Cuts, to throw a summer bash unlike anything New York has ever seen.
Held on Saturday at 71 Ingraham in Bushwick, the Sustainable Summer Fest featured local DJs and participating sponsors, including Built It Green! NYC, SodaStream, Prairie Organic Spirits, James Corbett Studio, Little Cupcake Bakeshop, Runa Clean Energy, and Coco Jack.
